2025.10.19 | Still Building, Still Moving: Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus
This blog is based on the sermon from October 19 2025.
There’s something powerful about pausing to remember where we’ve come from… and refocusing on Who brought us here. As Hope Community marked its fourth birthday, 1 Peter 1:13 reminded us what truly keeps us steady: fixing our eyes on Jesus, setting our hope fully on His grace, and running the race He’s called us to with focus and faith.
Over the past four years, God has done more than we could ever plan or imagine. We’ve seen lives changed, people baptized, families restored, and new friends welcomed into our church family. And through it all, one truth has remained: Jesus builds His church.
During Sunday’s message, Pastor Jeff reminded us that real hope isn’t found in success, comfort, or control… it’s found in Jesus alone. He’s the reason we gather, the center of our worship, and the One who sustains everything we do.
When we look back, we see His hand in every step, from moving locations, to growing our outreach, to every person who has served with humility and joy. Hope Community has been built by many hands, but only One deserves the praise: Jesus.
As we step into another year, may we do what 1 Peter 1:13 calls us to do… prepare our minds for action, stay focused, and set our hope fully on Him. The story of Hope Community is still being written, and Jesus is still building His church.
